Chivas USA's Dan Kennedy wins Save of the Week for impressive double save vs. LA Galaxy

Dan Kennedy set the all-time appearances mark for Chivas USA in Week 14, and he now he can add Save of the Week honors for his stunning double save against the LA Galaxy.


Kennedy stopped a pair of shots, first from Landon Donovan and then Marcelo Sarvas, in the first half of the game to deny the Galaxy to that point in the SuperClasico, which was ultimately a 1-1 draw. The Save of the Week award is Kennedy's second of the 2014 season, after also winning Week 4.


Donovan Ricketts' leaping stop on Luke Mulholland's curler in the Portland Timbers' 3-1 win over Real Salt Lake garnered second place for the week, while reigning Save of the Week champ Jeff Attinella picked up third place with a leaping block of his own, on Justin Meram's curling effort, in RSL's 1-1 draw against the Columbus Crew.
