Chivas USA signs three players

CARSON, Calif. - Chivas USA announced today the signing of midfielder Antonio Martínez, midfielder-forward Milton Blanco and defender Michael Erush. Martínez occupies one of Chivas USA's 18 senior roster spots, while Blanco and Erush join the expansion team's 10-man developmental roster.


Martínez, for his part, played for the then-Dallas Burn for four seasons (2000-2003) before being transferred to the Galaxy, where he played in 72 MLS games - 40 as a starter - for a total of 4092 minutes in which he registered eight goals and 23 assists. During the 2003-04 season, the Yahualica, Jalisco native played for Spanish Second Division side Salamanca, before being transferred to Necaxa at the beginning of the Mexican Apertura 2004 season.


Milton Blanco was born on April 27, 1984, in Fresno California. The Mexican-Salvadoran midfielder played for Fresno Pacific University, before joining the Fresno Fuego, where he played the last two seasons.


Michael Erush, 22 years old, is a defender born in Van Nuys, California. He played for the Colorado Rapids, as well as the Orange County Blue Stars in the USL as well as having spent his college years at Loyola Marymount University.
