AUSTIN, TX (July 18, 2025) – Major League Soccer (MLS) announced today that multiplatinum artist BRELAND will perform the national anthem at the 2025 MLS All-Star Game, set to take place on July 23 at Q2 Stadium in Austin, Texas.
“I’ve always appreciated how soccer brings people together from all over the world, so it’s truly an honor to be part of one of MLS’ marquee events,” BRELAND said. “I’m looking forward to bringing the energy with my national anthem and setting the tone for a thrilling match, highlighting the league’s brightest stars.”
Widely celebrated for his groundbreaking fusion of country, hip-hop, R&B, gospel, and pop, BRELAND brings a dynamic voice and cross-genre appeal to one of the league’s most anticipated events of the year. The New Jersey native rose to fame with his 2019 viral hit “My Truck” and has since collaborated with global stars like Nelly, Keith Urban, Shania Twain, and Thomas Rhett. His genre-defying debut album, Cross Country, and more than 1.2 billion global streams have firmly established him as one of music’s most innovative artists.
Beyond the studio, BRELAND has emerged as a respected songwriter and collaborator, having penned tracks for Chris Brown, Trey Songz, Jacquees, and many more. In 2024, he was appointed by former U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken as a U.S. Global Music Ambassador, using his platform to promote diplomacy and inclusion through music across South Korea and Brazil.
Most recently, BRELAND released Project 2024, an EP inspired by his roots in Selma, Alabama, and toured alongside Teddy Swims on the I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy Tour.
The 2025 MLS All-Star Game will showcase the league’s top talent and bring together fans from around the world for a week of festivities in Austin, one of the country’s most vibrant music and soccer cities.
