When superstar summer newcomer Antoine Griezmann scores, Orlando City get points.
It's a trend Lions fans will love to continue cheering on.
Saturday’s 1-0 win at Inter.co Stadium over San Diego SC extended that streak.
Griezmann provided the game-winner to make it five matches unbeaten across all competitions (4W-0L-1D) when the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner finds the back of the net.
Once again linking with homegrown Justin Ellis for the 28th-minute decider, a budding strike partnership is growing in prominence, with the 19-year-old assisting in three of Griezmann's five goals this season.
"Every single time I pass him the ball, I have a feeling like he can do something," Ellis said postgame. "So that's why I'm always looking for him, and it was a nice finish.
"With Grizi, it's pretty easy, you know?"
Their blossoming chemistry comes with some added entertainment for Orlando fans to look forward to.
After playing the hits from Griezmann's legendary repertoire of celebrations, their next connection may be an original creation.
"He always asks me this every week," said Ellis. "… Against San Jose, we did the Hotline Bling. Last game, we did take the L, and then this one was the One Piece.
“I think those are his three signatures. So, now we have to come up with another one. It's fun. It's good to have fun with the celebrations as long as we keep on scoring.”
Playoff push
Climbing to eighth place in the Eastern Conference with Saturday's win, Orlando City are riding a three-game unbeaten streak and beginning to look like an Audi MLS Cup Playoffs lock.
It's far cry from their 12th-place status before Griezmann landed in O-town.
