Geoff Cameron, Stoke City (January 1, 2015)

AMSTERDAM – Geoff Cameron and Stoke City fell for the third straight English Premier League round on Saturday evening, dropping a 2-1 decision away to table-toppers Chelsea.

The US handyman played all 90 minutes at right back, leading all players with six pass interceptions. Cameron also added three clearances, a tackle and an area shot block without committing a single foul.

Chelsea striker Loïc Rémy hit the decider on 62 minutes, dooming Stoke to their third straight loss. Despite the result, the Potters held firm in 10th place, 11 points shy of the last Europa League spot.

Over in Armenia, Cesar Romero worked up top from start to finish as red-hot Premier League leaders FC Pyunik schooled derby visitors Ararat Yerevan 4-0.

The former Chivas USA forward, who tops the goal chart with 18 on the season, was cruelly denied on a pair of chances midway through the second frame. Thanks to their ninth consecutive league victory, the Blue-Whites moved seven points clear at the top with eight matches remaining.
