TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Contract terminated
The Portland Timbers and midfielder Tomas Conechny have mutually agreed to part ways, the club announced Wednesday.
Conechy first joined the Timbers on loan from San Lorenzo in July 2018 until the end of the season, and the loan was extended before the start of the 2019 season. In July 2019, the Timbers and Conechny made the move permanent, though he struggled to establish himself as a regular in the lineup.
The Argentine made 28 appearances for the Timbers during his two and a half year spell with the club, starting only six matches and scoring once. Most of his games came during the 2019 season, when he played 348 minutes in 16 matches.
Conechny also made three appearances for Portland Timbers 2 during the 2019 season.
