Greg Vanney named his coaching staff ahead of his first season with the LA Galaxy on Tuesday, naming three of his former assistant coaches at Toronto FC, Dan Calichman, Nick Theslof and Jason Bent, to his staff. Joining them is former Galaxy goalkeeper Kevin Hartman, who will be the team's goalkeeper coach.

The trio of ex-Toronto coaches worked with Vanney for the entirety of his time there, including the 2017 season when the team became the first in MLS to win the treble. Both Calichman and Bent are former MLS players, with Calichman actually playing with Vanney for the Galaxy from 1996 to 1998.

Calichman also has experience coaching at the college level, coaching the men's soccer team at Claremont McKenna College before joining Toronto. Theslof also worked in the college game with Ohio Wesleyan University, and worked as a scout for the German national team and Bayern Munich before coming to MLS, first as an assistant at Chivas USA. Bent worked in the Toronto academy before working with Vanney.

Hartman is the newest addition to the first-team coaching staff, but like him is a former Galaxy player. He was previously the Galaxy's Academy Director.
