Houston Dynamo sign goalkeeper Kyle Morton

Houston Dynamo FC have signed goalkeeper Kyle Morton, the club announced Wednesday.

Morton, 26, spent 2020 with Saint Louis FC in the USL Championship and is a two-time finalist for USL Championship Goalkeeper of the Year. He spent time with Rochester and Pittsburgh before Saint Louis.

“Kyle has worked hard through the last couple of years to earn this opportunity at the MLS level and we look forward to welcoming him to our club," SVP & GM Matt Jordan said in a club statement. “He is a player who has the talent and upside to provide strong competition within our goalkeeping corps.”

Morton joins a goalkeeping depth chart that includes 2020 starter Marko Maric and Michael Nelson.
