New York City FC are on the verge of splashing big bucks to land an Argentine winger from Benfica, according to reports from Portugal.

Franco Cervi has an offer on the table from NYCFC that would cost the club nearly $10 million, Portuguese outlet Record reports.

The 26-year-old has previously been linked with possible moves to Orlando City SC or FC Dallas last month.

The left winger has fallen out of favor since Jorge Jesus returned as head coach this summer, making just three substitute appearances for Benfica in Liga NOS this season. He has 20 goals and 26 assists in 157 all-time appearances for the Portuguese juggernaut after making the move from CA Rosario in Argentina in 2016. Cervi came up through the Rosario youth system, making his professional debut in Nov. 2014 against Estudiantes

Cervi has been capped four times by Argentina — all coming in 2018 — scoring once in a 4-0 win over Iraq in an international friendly.

He’d fill a void at left wing for NYCFC after Alexandru Mitrita exited on a loan deal to Al-Ahli Jeddah in Saudi Arabia on Oct. 8 and join fellow Argentine attackers Maxi Moralez and Taty Castellanos.
