TRANSFER TRACKER: Report
The LA Galaxy could be bringing in goalkeeping reinforcements from the English Premier League, with reports nothing that the club is close to signing West Bromwich Albion backstop Jonathan Bond.
The interest in Bond was confirmed by a Galaxy spokesperson to Kevin Baxter of The Los Angeles Times, although no deal has been formalized.
The 27-year-old has been with West Brom since 2018, but finds himself in a backup role to Sam Johnstone, all while David Button has emerged as their second-choice option. Bond has made seven appearances for West Brom in various cup competitions spanning their time in England's second division and top flight.
Bond has been a journeyman since starting his professional career with Watford, so perhaps the Galaxy could offer him stability and consistent playing time. Bond has played for various Wales and England youth national teams.
