Official: FC Dallas acquire center back Jose Antonio Martinez from SD Eibar

FC Dallas have acquired center back Jose Antonio Martinez from Spanish club SD Eibar, the club announced Monday. Martinez is under contract through 2023 with team options through 2025.

Martinez, 27, joined Eibar in 2018 but never made a first-team appearance for the club, making 56 appearances on loan over that time with Granada, which he helped earn a promotion from the second division to La Liga in 2019. 

He spent 2016-18 with Barcelona B.

Martinez is the latest addition of Dallas' busy offseason. The club have already re-signed defender Bressan and re-acquired goalkeeper Phelipe. The club are also rumored to be signing Colombian midfielder Jader Obrian.
