TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Trade

Columbus Crew SC have acquired goalkeeper Evan Bush from the Vancouver Whitecaps in exchange for $125,000 General Allocation Money, the clubs announced Monday. The trade was completed during the half-day trade window on Sunday.

The Whitecaps and Montreal Impact, who Bush played for until the summer, will retain part of Bush’s club salary budget charge.

“We are pleased to welcome Evan to Columbus,” Crew President & GM Tim Bezbatchenko said in a club statement. “Evan is a talented goalkeeper whose significant experience in MLS will be a great addition to our team. We look forward to integrating him into the team and seeing him push our goalkeeping corps as we prepare for the 2021 season.”

Bush, 34, was the longtime starter in Montreal prior to this season and made 176 MLS appearances with the club. He was relegated to backup duties this year under Thierry Henry before being traded to the Whitecaps, where he made another eight starts.
