When Columbus Crew SC host the Seattle Sounders in the MLS Cup Final on Saturday (8:30 ET | TV & Streaming info), it will be the final truly big occasion to take place at one of the league's most historic venues in MAPRE Stadium.

The Crew are slated to open a new downtown stadium in the summer of 2021, and while an exact date has yet to be determined, the venue is soon to be the site of all the club's home games going forward.

The club have been tracking the progress of the under-construction stadium on social media, with a series of photos released over the last couple of days of renderings and shots of the construction site. There's also a 3D seat viewer that gives a panoramic simulated view of what it will look like from the field level.
