The Montreal Impact resume play in the Concacaf Champions League, looking to rally from an opening leg defeat when they meet CD Olimpia in the second leg of the quarterfinals Tuesday night at Exploria Stadium.

The home of Orlando City SC will host all the remaining games of the 2020 competition behind closed doors, taking the advantage Olimpia would have had playing the second leg in San Pedro Sula, Honduras.

The first leg was back on March 10, just before the Concacaf Champions League, as well as every other international and domestic competition halted due to the coronavirus global pandemic. On that night at Stade Olympique, the Impact had the lion’s share of possession, but were hit twice on first-half counterattacks and fell to CD Olimpia, 2-1.

Former New England Revolution Designated Player Jerry Bengtson opened the scoring in the 15th minute and set up Jorge Benguche, who doubled the visitors' advantage in the 41st minute. Just two minutes after the restart, Saphir Taider sparked Stade Olympique with a sensational half-volley from distance to pull the Impact to within a goal.

The Impact reached the quarterfinals by advancing on away goals against Saprissa in the Round of 16, while Olimpia shocked the Seattle Sounders, advancing on penalty kicks after rallying to earn a 2-2 draw in the second leg at Lumen Field.

Thierry Henry's side announced their 25-man roster for the resumption of the competition and noticeably absent was Bojan, whose 2021 roster option was declined by Montreal. Forward Anthony Jackson-Hamel is listed on the 25-man roster for CCL despite also having his contract option declined. Emanuel Maciel, because of an injury, will miss the competition. Also injured are Ballou Tabla, Shamit Shome, Maximiliano Urruti, Lassi Lappalainen, Mathieu Choinière, Steeven Saba and Jukka Raitala.

The winner meets either New York City FC or Tigres UANL in the single-leg semifinals Saturday, December 19 at 8 pm ET.
