Cameron Carter-Vickers out on loan again, joins Bournemouth

Cameron Carter-Vickers - Tottenham - 2016-17

US men's national team center back Cameron Carter-Vickers will spend the 2020-21 season at English Championship side AFC Bournemouth, on loan from parent club Tottenham Hotspur.

The move marks a sixth loan spell for the center back from Spurs, most recently spending the second half of the 2019-20 season with Luton Town. Despite some successful loans, Carter-Vickers has struggled to find a permanent home after never truly cracking into Tottenham's center back group. Carter-Vickers has only a year left on his Spurs contract, meaning a long-term deal may be on his radar during this loan.

Another successful loan may bring a return to the national team for Carter-Vickers, who has not been called up since June of last year. His last match was in a 1-0 friendly loss to Jamaica that month, when he played 18 minutes before missing out on the Concacaf Gold Cup squad that year.
