LAFC's Eduard Atuesta to miss El Trafico clash with LA Galaxy with foot injury

When the latest chapter of El Trafico heats up Saturday (6 pm ET | FOX; MLS LIVE on DAZN in Canada), LAFC will be without one of their key midfield cogs.

Eduard Atuesta is out for the anticipated clash with a right foot injury. It is unknown how long the young Colombian defensive midfielder will be out of the lineup.

Atuesta has been an integral part of LAFC’s midfield since transferring from Independiente Medellin ahead of the 2018 season. He has 50 regular season starts in 60 appearances.

In Atuesta’s stead, Francisco Ginella, who signed on a transfer from Montevideo Wanderers in December, could be in line for his third regular season start. The Uruguayan youth international has two starts in five appearances and has registered three assists, two of which came in LAFC's shocking MLS is Back Tournament romp of the LA Galaxy.

The Galaxy also have their share of injury concerns and will be without Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez (calf), although Jonathan dos Santos will be available for selection.
