TRANSFER TRACKER: Report
The Galaxy could hardly be blamed for wanting to keep Pavon, who has been arguably their most important attacking piece since his arrival in August of 2019, on a team that has also included famous strikers Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez during his early appearances.
But the $20 million option to buy on Pavon's current loan is far too costly for the Galaxy, according to TyC, and Boca would reportedly be happy to welcome Pavon back in 2021.
The alternative is that LA — managed by former Boca Juniors boss Guillermo Barros Schelotto — try to negotiate a less expensive fee for a permanent move.
Pavon has six goals and nine assists in 16 MLS appearances since joining the Galaxy last July. With two goals and an assist, he was also LA's most consistent performer in their otherwise disappointing group stage effort last month at the MLS is Back Tournament.
