TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Signing

Toronto FC added goalkeeping depth Friday, signing Kevin Silva from Toronto FC II, the club announced.

“Kevin has worked hard and performed well throughout his time with TFC II. He has a great attitude and will continue to develop working alongside Quentin and Alex on the first team,” Toronto FC general manager Ali Curtis said in a statement.

The 22-year-old native of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania signed with Toronto FC II on January 19 after spending the 2019 USL League One season on loan from Scottish club, Heart of Midlothian FC Reserves. He made eight appearances and recorded two clean sheets for the Young Reds last season.

Prior to joining Toronto FC II, Silva, who played collegiately at UCLA, made five appearances for Heart of Midlothian FC Reserves in 2018 and later spent time on loan with Raith Rovers FC of the Scottish Third Division.
