Alphonso Davies scores goal, gets assist for Bayern Munich in Bundesliga action

Alphonso Davies - Bayern Munich - close shot

Another game, another standout showing for Alphonso Davies.

The Bayern Munich left back and former Vancouver Whitecaps homegrown product was back at it in Bundesliga action against Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday -- the German top-flight's second weekend back since becoming the first elite league to return to play.

It started in the 41st minute, when Davies picked off a loose ball and delivered a pinpoint cross to teammate Thomas Muller, who took once touch to set himself up before rifling home a close-range finish to put Bayern up 2-0.

The young Canadian wasn't finished, coming up big again in the 61st minute with a stellar individual run that saw him charge through a group of Frankfurt defenders and slot home a cheekily-taken finish, restoring a two-goal lead for the German giants after they had seen their second-half lead cut to 3-2. Bayern would go on to win the match 5-2. Check out Davies' goal below.

This kind of stuff has become par for the course for Davies as he continues to show why he's fast become one of the world's best young talents. May his rise continue.
