Tekkers and Twellman: Take The Captain's Challenge to help COVID-19 relief

Are you a fan of tekkers? Are you staying at home with an unwitting defender? Do you want to contribute to the COVID-19 relief effort? Then take The Captain's Challenge.

Starting Tuesday, Captain Morgan is kicking off The Captain’s Challenge on Instagram, and all you have to do is capture yourself on video nutmegging someone or something at home.

For every qualifying video shared by U.S. fans age 21 and over to their public Instagram feed or stories that tags @CaptainMorganUS and includes #CaptainMorganDonation, Captain Morgan will donate $25 to COVID-19 relief through MLS club partners' selected charities. That's on top of an initial donation of $500,000, which Captain Morgan is giving to coincide with the launch of MLS Unites programming.

If your tekker skills are extra slick, you might even find your submission selected for some broadcast commentary by ESPN analyst and MLS legend Taylor Twellman.

Each club partner’s local charity is focused on providing meals and relief to COVID-19 frontline workers and to those most affected within its respective community. Club partners include D.C. United, Inter Miami, LAFC, Minnesota United, Nashville SC, NYCFC, Philadelphia Union, Seattle Sounders and Toronto FC. A full list of the local organizations to which their donations are being distributed, as well as rules for participation, can be found here.
