Inter Miami CF's Rodolfo Pizarro gets booted from hotel due to pandemic, performs act of kindness

Rodolfo Pizarro - Inter Miami - 03/01/20

Rodolfo Pizarro has given us the type of story we could all use at the moment.

The Inter Miami CF midfielder took part in a social media challenge making the rounds, where people are ordering meals from delivery services and letting the drivers keep them for themselves and their families. Pizarro shared the exchange he had with the driver on Twitter, which you can read below.

The story comes on the heels of a crazy ordeal in Pizarro's own life that he relayed in an interview with Contacto Deportivo on Thursday.

The Inter Miami CF midfielder said he almost wound up having to stay in his car after he was essentially booted from the hotel he had been staying in at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic . Pizarro has only recently arrived in Miami from Liga MX side Monterrey and his new apartment wasn't ready, so he had to reach out to teammate Matias Pellegrini to see if he could crash with him until he could move in.

"At the start [of the pandemic] it was complicated," Pizarro recalled. "I was in a hotel and they basically kicked me out of the hotel because they closed [the hotel]. My apartment wasn't ready and I had to ask a teammate if I could stay with him. I had no choice. It was either this or my car."

Luckily, Pellegrini was able to put him up until the new place was ready, and Pizarro is now in his new abode.
