New England Revolution helping provide meals to active duty military and veterans during COVID-19 pandemic

New England Revolution - Revolution Foundation

The foundations of the New England Revolution and the New England Patriots established by the Kraft family are providing meals to active duty military, veterans and their families who have limited access to food during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The effort is through the foundations established by Patriots and Revs owner Robert Kraft, who started the New England Patriots Foundation and the Revolution Foundation to support charitable and philanthropic agencies throughout New England.

Volunteers will be creating "vital food packages" with non-perishable foods and nutritionist-developed recipes that can sustain a two-week period for two people. 50,000 packages will be created, with the goal of providing 1.4 million meals. The food packages will be delivered to storage warehouses across New England, one of which is located at the Patriots' and Revs' current home of Gillette Stadium.

Starting on Tuesday, volunteers will be delivering the packages to families across New England, and military families can also pick up the meals at Gillette Stadium, which will be accessible on weekdays from 10 am to 2 pm until Friday, April 10.

In response to the COVID-19 health crisis, the Kraft family created the #TogetherWhileApart campaign, which has a section on the Patriots website that provides information on what both Kraft-owned clubs are doing to help the community during the pandemic.
