The New England Revolution are looking for their first win of the 2020 season, while the Portland Timbers seek a first-ever victory at Gillette Stadium when the sides meet Sunday afternoon.

The Revolution (0-1-1) picked up their first point of the season, settling for a 1-1 draw with Chicago Fire FC. Adam Buksa opened his account by beating Francisco Calvo to a ball sent into the penalty box by Brandon Bye and slotting home the finish past Chicago goalkeeper Kenneth Kronholm to the far post to put the hosts on top in the 28th minute. But Jonathan Bornstein leveled in the 70th minute for the visitors.

The Timbers (1-1-0) bounced back from a Week 1 defeat to Minnesota United to defeat Nashville SC 1-0 at Providence Park. Diego Valeri provided the lone goal with a 12th-minute volley beating Nashville goalkeeper Joe Willis. Andy Polo, playing deep in midfield, headed a clearance back into the 18-yard box, only for the Argentine veteran to pounce.
