Walker Zimmerman provided a moment Nashville SC fans will remember forever in the club's inaugural MLS match against Atlanta United at Nissan Stadium, scoring the first-ever goal in club history in the 28th minute.
Nashville were down 1-0 after an early goal from Atlanta's Ezequiel Barco, but Zimmerman would find the leveler off a free kick from Hany Mukhtar, which the defender headed down into the box before snapping the finish past goalkeeper Brad Guzan and providing an epic moment for the raucous home crowd. Check it out below.
That type of play is exactly why Nashville brought in Zimmerman via a trade with LAFC during the offseason. In his first game with his new team, the big center back already has his place in club lore.
