MLS Preseason 2020: Colorado Rapids, Toronto FC draw 1-1 in storm-shortened finale

Tsubasa Endoh - Toronto FC - celebrates a goal vs. FC Dallas

After two lightning delays at Dignity Health Sports Park, the Colorado Rapids and Toronto FC settled for a 1-1 draw that was halted at halftime, bringing an awkward close to both teams' preseasons.

Most of the action occurred very early, with Tsubasa Endoh scoring for Toronto just 33 seconds after kickoff. Alejandro Pozeulo stripped the ball from Colorado right back Keegan Rosenberry. Pozuelo sent it over to Patrick Mullins, who one-timed it to Endoh for the goal.

The Rapids equalized two minutes later after a mistake from Toronto goalkeeper Quentin Westberg. Rapids forward Andre Shinyashiki found himself in the right place to send a rebound into the back of the net.

Both sides had opportunities throughout the rest of the half, most notably when Marky Delgado faced Colorado goalkeeper Clint Irwin 1-on-1, but chipped the ball wide.
