Report: Mexican winger Jurgen Damm signs with unnamed MLS club

Jurgen Damm - Mexico - vs. Belgium

UPDATE, Feb. 25: Damm reportedly confirmed that he will be leaving Tigres at the end of his contract in June at a Tuesday press conference, where he thanked the club supporters and said that he felt it was time for him to embark on a new path. There's still no confirmation on what team Damm will be signing with, but given the reports that he's signed a pre-contract with a club in MLS, it looks as though he's on track to join the league this summer.

It appears Jurgen Damm is the next in the Liga MX to MLS pipeline with the Tigres UANL winger reportedly signing a pre-contract with an unnamed club.

Fox Sports reporter Ruben Rodriguez said the 27-year-old will play in MLS beginning in July.

Damm, who has been capped 12 times by the Mexican national team, has spent his entire career in his native Mexico to this point. Damm made his professional debut with Tecos at the age of 18. He made 20 appearances that season, but after the club was relegated, Damm was sent on loan to CF Pachuca, where he eventually transferred. He had five goals in 71 total appearances for Pachuca before joining Tigres UANL in 2015.

Damm has enjoyed his most successful stint at Tigres with 13 goal in 172 overall appearances, including three goals in 22 Concacaf Champions League matches.

He’s only made one appearance in the Liga MX Clausura this year, playing the first half in a 2-0 loss to Pachuca.
