TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Report

Orlando City SC have made a sizable bid for Florinel Coman, according to a report out of Romania.

The 21-year-old winger, who has 11 goals and nine assists in 21 games across all competitions for FCSB this season, has been approached by Orlando. But Gigi Becali, the Romanian Liga 1 side’s owner, told sport.ro he wants a fee that would potentially break the current incoming MLS transfer record.

Coman came up through the Viitorul Constanța academy to join the first team as one of “Hagi's Kids,” and played for Romanian legend Gheorghe Hagi. He scored six goals in 47 appearances before making his move to FCSB in 2017.

Coman has blown up in his time there, with 29 goals in 98 appearances, including a goal in Europa League and three others in qualifying.

He’s also worked his way up the ranks of Romania’s youth national teams to make his senior national team debut in October. Coman has three appearances for Romania, all coming in European qualifiers.
