David Beckham gained worldwide notoriety for his ability to bend in some convincing free kicks during his playing career.

But how is the legend at convincing another legend at joining Inter Miami CF, the club he co-owns?

Becks made his pitch, sort of, to Neymar Jr. in a one-on-one interview for Otro. He mentioned the huge growth of the sport in the United States and it being a “real opportunity for “America to have great players there.”

Then, Beckham made his move.

“So, I’m going to get you to sign a piece of paper after, a blank piece of paper. It’s going to be a contract for Miami for 10 years time.”

After Beckham joked, Miami weren’t “going to pay much” the two smiled, shook hands and said “deal.”

The expansion team has been linked with virtually every big name across the globe, from Messi to Cristiano Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani and almost everyone in between.

So why not Neymar?

The Brazilian megastar, still laughing, told someone off camera he wants to play for Beckham’s team and that he already told him so.

“I told him I will play there one day,” Neymar said.

“I believe this is a great opportunity for the country to grow its soccer,” Neymar addd. “As I said before, I already have my contract with David. A few years from now, I will be there.”
