TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Loan
Nashville SC has loaned forward Cameron Lancaster to USL Championship side Louisville City FC for the 2020 season, the club announced Thursday.
The loan, which will give Nashville the right to recall the player at any point during its 2020 campaign, will send Lancaster back to a Louisville club where he spent three seasons before joining Nashville in 2018. The 27-year-old had his most productive years as a professional in Louisville, racking up 36 goals in 79 appearances from 2015-2018, winning back-to-back USL Cups in 2017-2018. He also won the league's Golden Boot in 2018, setting a single-season record with 25 goals.
Prior to coming to the USL, Lancaster was a member of Tottenham Hotspur's youth academy before bouncing around England's lower divisions with Dagenham & Redbridge, Stevenage and St. Albans City.
He made 18 USL appearances for Nashville last season, starting seven games and netting five goals.
