Over five weeks remain until Inter Miami CF play their first home game as a Major League Soccer club, but part-owner and President of Soccer Operations David Beckham is already brimming with excitement.

Ahead of the club’s March 14 opener against the LA Galaxy, Beckham shared a selfie atop the stands at Inter Miami's new Fort Lauderdale stadium. The seats can be seen in Inter Miami’s pink, white and black colors, which have become synonymous with the 2020 expansion club.

Inter Miami will spend their first two MLS games on the road – they’ll open March 1 at LAFC and travel to D.C. United on March 7 – before making their long-awaited debut before home fans against Beckham's former club, the LA Galaxy. The club was officially granted an expansion slot Jan. 29, 2018, so the build-up has been more than two years in the making.

As of writing, Beckham’s post had over 1.3 million likes on Instagram. Still one of the world’s most-recognizable sports stars, he's contributed massively to increasing the league’s profile since signing as a Designated Player for the LA Galaxy in 2007.
