FC Dallas continued their MLS preseason slate of matches, falling 1-0 to USL Championship side San Diego Loyal, who were playing their first preseason match under new manager Landon Donovan.
After a scoreless first half, FC Dallas 2018 draft pick Francis Atuahene netted the game's only goal in the second frame to provide the decisive tally for San Diego Loyal.

It was a youthful starting XI fielded by FC Dallas head coach Luchi Gonzalez as he looks to finalize his roster plans heading into the upcoming season.
