The US men's national team will open 2020, and Year No. 2 under head coach Gregg Berhalter, with an international friendly against Costa Rica at Dignity Health Sports Complex on Saturday afternoon.
Following the USMNT's annual January camp, a youthful group of largely domestic-based players made their way from Bradenton, Fla. to Carson, Calif., for the first match of the calendar year. Interestingly, several players on the roster could be part of the U-23 side seeking Olympic qualification. The first match of the Concacaf Men's Olympic Qualifying Championship pits the US against the Ticos in March.
