US teen Indiana Vassilev makes English Premier League debut for Aston Villa

US youth international Indiana Vassilev continued his progress with Aston Villa on Saturday, making his English Premier League debut as a substitute in the Villains' 1-1 comeback draw at Brighton & Hove Albion.

Vassilev, 18, came off the bench to replace Mahmoud "Trezeguet" Hassan in a wide attacking role in the 67th minute and helped make space for Jack Grealish's equalizer a few minutes later.

According to NBC Sports, the Savannah, Georgia native got seven touches and completed three out of four passes in his cameo.

It's another step forward for the Bulgarian-American talent, who made his first-team debuts in FA Cup and League Cup play earlier this month. He played for the US at the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup and is currently in the US U-20s pool.
