Media reacts to Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez's possible move to LA Galaxy

There’s no shortage of opinions on Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez’s potential move to the LA Galaxy, a reported possible transfer from Sevilla that has social media abuzz.

What would it mean for the Mexican superstar to land in MLS?

CBS Sports soccer analyst Thomas Rongen said the move would be “bigger than Zlatan,” referring to Ibrahimovic’s move two years ago, because of Los Angeles’ large Mexican population.

Sports Illustrated’s Grant Wahl said its ideal time for Chicharito to come to MLS, saying it would add spice to El Trafico showdowns with LAFC, starring El Tri teammate Carlos Vela.

ESPN’s David Faitelson said Chicharito could instantly compete with Vela and Josef Martinez for the league’s Golden Boot presented by Audi.

Nico Cantor said of all the league’s big-name signings, including David Beckham’s historic move to the Galaxy, Chicharito’s will be the most impactful in terms of “high-profile media.” Be sure to read his full thread.

Adding to that, ESPN's Taylor Twellman and The Athletic's Paul Tenorio said the Galaxy continue to set the tone when it comes to finding influential players.
