TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Report

With Diego Alonso now officially installed as Inter Miami's first head coach, it's taken mere days for transfer gossip to link him to one of his former players at CF Monterrey, his most recent employer.

Monterrey-based journalist Axel Solis reports that Inter are interested in Dorlan Pabon, the Rayados winger who helped the Liga MX club win the 2019 Concacaf Champions League title as well as the 2019 Apertura trophy (pictured above):

Pabon, 31, is a Colombian international and versatile attacker capable of filling multiple roles along the frontline, blessed with speed, dribbling nous and an eye for goal. He scored three goals in last year's CCL run, all coming against MLS opposition.

He's spent the last five years with Monterrey and is reportedly under contract until the summer of 2022, which suggests that he'd command both a sizable salary and transfer fee. Miami currently have 22 players under contract for their inaugural season and two of their three Designated Player slots remain open.
