TRANSFER TRACKER: Report

The Houston Dynamo are tracking former US menā€™s national team goalkeeper William Yarbrough, according to a report from ESPN.

Club Leon are reportedly close to landing Mexican goalkeeper Sebastian Fassi for the Clausura 2020 season, which could leave Yarbrough on the outs of the Liga MX club.

On Thursday, Glenn Davis and Victor Araiza reported the clubs were in discussions over a transfer fee amount.

Yarbrough, 30, has mostly been used as reserve over the last few seasons for Leon and has amassed 192 appearances since coming aboard in 2012. He was also previously on the books at Pachuca, and has made three USMNT appearances, with the last coming in October 2016 against New Zealand.

As things stand, the Dynamoā€™s only rostered goalkeeper is Michael Nelson after they chose not to pick up Tyler Dericā€™s club option and Joe Willis was traded to expansion side Nashville SC.

The Dynamo are entering their first season under head coach Tab Ramos and will be looking to return to the Audi MLS Cup Playoffs for the first time since 2017.
