TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Report
Is Major League Soccer soon in the future of Colombian Under-20 defensive midfielder Andres Perea?
After being linked to the league last month, a new report emerged on Friday from Colombian reporter Pilar Velazquez that Perea will join Orlando City on a year-long loan, with an option to buy.

Perea's current club coach, Juan Carlos Osorio, says an MLS move was possible last month, though at the time he didn't identify which team.
Perea, who plays for Osorio at Atletico Nacional, did not join his team for final league match of the season at Cucuta Deportivo. At the airport, the former New York Red Bulls, Chicago Fire and Mexican national team coach told reporters “Andres Perea is not called because he is possibly going to MLS.”

The 19-year-old, who competed for Colombia at the FIFA Under-20 World Cup in Poland over the summer, is a right-footed central midfielder, primarily a No. 6. Perea, who came up through Atletico Nacional's Under-20 side, was born in Tampa, holds dual citizenship with Colombia and the United States.
