LAFC have found some success in signing Uruguayan players the last two seasons, and a new report claims they are looking to add yet another.

FOX Sports Mexico's Jorge Victor Garcia reported on Saturday that attacker Brian Lozano is in high demand after a fantastic season at Santos Laguna, with Liga MX outfit Cruz Azul and LAFC both pursuing the player. Garcia claims LAFC are willing to spend $12 million for the player.

Lozano, 25, has split his club career between his native Uruguay, getting his start at Defensor Sporting and a loan stint at powerhouse Nacional, where he won a league title, and in Mexico, where he's played for Club America and Santos.

He was a 2018 Clausura Liga MX best XI selection as Santos Laguna won the league title that season, and he had nine goals and six assists this season, and has been regarded as one of the best players in the league once again. Lozano is also a Uruguay international, making eight appearances since making his debut in 2015.

If Lozano were to join LAFC, he'd join compatriots Diego Rossi and Brian Rodriguez in Black & Gold, as well as fellow Uruguayan national team player and Seattle Sounders star Nicolas Lodeiro in MLS.
