TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS:Re-signed

Sebastian Lletget has re-signed with the LA Galaxy, the club announced Tuesday, keeping him with the club he has played for since 2015.

The 27-year-old midfielder was signed to the new deal using Targeted Allocation Money, with the length and terms of the contract not disclosed.

Lletget is coming off a 2019 campaign that saw him score three goals and tally six assists in 2,316 minutes as he helped the Galaxy to an Audi 2019 MLS Cup Playoffs berth. He also started in both of LA's playoff matches, scoring the opener in their 2-1 Round One victory over Minnesota United before going all 90 minutes in the Galaxy's 5-3 season-ending defeat to LAFC in the Western Conference semifinals.

For his career, Lletget has 14 goals and 18 assists in 111 games. He'll return as a key cog to a Galaxy attack that includes a couple of dynamic pieces in recently re-signed midfielder Cristian Pavon, French midfielder Romain Alessandrini and rising star Efrain Alvarez, but will also be losing the services of superstar forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic. With Ibrahimovic out of the picture, the Galaxy still need to replace their biggest source of goals, but Lletget's return at least ensures that one of their biggest complementary pieces will be staying in town.

Lletget is currently with the US men's national team in Concacaf Nations League play, where the Yanks will take on Cuba on Tuesday at Truman Bodden Sports Complex at George Town in the Cayman Islands (7:30 PM ET | FS1, UnimĆ”s and TUDN).
