Thierry Henry's appointment as Montreal Impact head coach is the talk of MLS, and Montreal.

Following the announcement of the Frenchman's hiring by the Impact on Thursday, word had trickled down to the locker room of local NHL team the Montreal Canadiens, according to right wing Brendan Gallagher. Speaking to reporters after practice, Gallagher shared the excitement surrounding Henry's arrival, which even seemed to bridge the rivalry between Henry's former club Arsenal and their bitter North London rivals Tottenham.

"There are a couple of Arsenal fans in here who are pretty excited about that...I'm actually a Tottenham fan myself, so I'm pretending I'm upset but it's pretty cool to see. Obviously everyone knows what he means to that sport, it's continuing to grow in North America so I think it's definitely a huge add for this city and it's pretty exciting," Gallagher said.

Perhaps Gallagher and his teammates will make it out to an Impact game in 2020 and ring the North Star bell at Stade Saputo? Stay tuned.
