For the fourth time, and first since 2016, the Seattle Sounders and FC Dallas square off in the Audi MLS Cup Playoffs with a Round One showdown at CenturyLink Field set for Oct. 19 at 3:30 pm ET.

The Sounders earned the No. 2 seed in the West following a 1-0 win over Minnesota United on Decision Day presented by AT&T. Roman Torres scored the lone goal in the 29th minute to give the Rave Green matching 1-0 victories to close out the regular season.

Seventh-seeded FC Dallas needed a Decision Day win to reach the postseason and it was a decisive one, beating Sporting Kansas City, 6-0, at Toyota Stadium. Zdenek Ondrasek opened the scoring in the ninth minute, the first of his two goals as FC Dallas took a two-goal lead at the break and tacked on four additional strikes in a 22-minute span in the second half.

FC Dallas won 2-1 June 1 in Frisco and the teams played to a 0-0 draw in Seattle Sept. 18. The winner faces either Real Salt Lake or the Portland Timbers in the Western Conference Semifinals Oct. 23 at 10:00 pm ET.
