TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Report

After countless rumors and players interested, Inter Miami are reportedly set to sign their first superstar.

Miami will sign Manchester City attacking midfielder David Silva this summer after his contract expires, according to Tony Evans of The Independent.

Silva, 33, is one of Europe's most decorated players. He has won a World Cup, two European Championships, four Premier Leagues, two FA Cups, and four League Cups between Spain and Manchester City, which he joined in 2010. Silva has twice been named to the Premier League Team of the Season.

With City he has 71 goals and 134 assists over 402 appearances, including appearing in each of City's five Premier League games this season so far. He has 123 appearances with Spain, adding 35 goals and 32 assists.

Ahead of the Premier League season, he announced he'd depart Manchester once his contract expired in the summer and wouldn't represent another Premier League side.

Miami have signed four players thus far: Defender Christian Makoun, midfielders Matias Pellegrini and David Norman Jr. as well as forward Julian Carranza. Each of the current players on the books are 21 or younger. (UPDATE: Miami on Friday announced the signing of their fifth player, 19-year-old US youth international George Acosta.)

Silva is the latest big-name star in the world of soccer to be linked to Miami this summer, with the club having been connected with none other than Lionel Messi, his Barcelona teammate Luis Suarez, as well as PSG forward Edinson Cavani.
