LA Galaxy's Zlatan Ibrahimovic voted MLS Player of the Week for Week 24

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is on one of those trademark hot streaks again, scoring the LA Galaxy's last four goals and earning MLS Player of the Week honors for Week 24.

Ibrahimovic was voted Player of the Week after scoring twice in the Galaxy's 2-0 midweek win over FC Dallas and twice in a 2-2 draw against the Seattle Sounders, the latter brace coming while LA played with 10 men after Daniel Steres' dismissal in the 6th minute.

One goal in each game came from the penalty spot, but Ibrahimovic earned the latter spot kick after getting the better of Seattle center back Kim Kee-Hee in the penalty area.

Ibrahimovic now has 20 goals on the season, bringing him within two of his total from last year and four of LAFC's Carlos Vela, who leads the race for the 2019 MLS Golden Boot. He earns Player of the Week for the second time this season and fourth during his two-year MLS career.

The MLS Player of the Week is selected each week of the regular season through both media and fan voting in a process conducted by MLS Communications. A panel of journalists from the North American Soccer Reporters (NASR) comprises 75 percent of the vote, while a Twitter fan vote represents the remaining 25 percent of voting. NASR consists of members of print, television, radio and online media.
