Following a midweek win over FC Dallas, the LA Galaxy host a Seattle Sounders side winless in their last three games when the Western Conference heavyweights square off at Dignity Health Sports Complex Saturday night.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic struck for a second-half brace to lift the Galaxy (13-11-1) to a 2-0 win over FCD Wednesday night in Carson to snap a three-match losing streak. Ibrahimovic broke the scoreless stalemate in the 68th minute before adding the insurance goal from the penalty spot in the 82nd minute.
The Sounders (11-8-6) dropped to fifth in the Western Conference following a 3-0 loss to Real Salt Lake at Rio Tinto Stadium. Sam Johnson scored the opening goal in the 25th minute and Albert Rusnak and Corey Baird tacked on second-half strikes for the hosts.
