Cristian Pavon - LA Galaxy - Close up

Although It didn’t result in a victory, Cristian Pavon put in a solid 90-minute shift in his debut for the LA Galaxy in a 2-1 loss at D.C. United Sunday night.

The Argentine, who arrived on loan from Boca Juniors on Deadline Day, was inserted directly into the Galaxy’s starting XI on the left wing and the 23-year-old had no problem adjusting to his new team or a new league.

“I think he was the best man on the field. It was his first game and he showed what his ability is and he did a very good game. Unlucky we didn’t win to give him more credit," said Zlatan Ibrahimovic after the match.

Pavon had two shots and five chances created, an 83.3 percent passing accuracy on 48 passes and four successful dribbles. He had 1.17 expected assists, most of any player this weekend.
