Team of the Week presented by Audi: Carlos Vela carries torch in Week 21

The 2019 MLS All-Star Game presented by Target is upon us, but before the brightest stars headed to Orlando we had an exciting Week 21 of the 2019 MLS regular season, as reflected in the Team of the Week presented by Audi.

The Montreal Impact, with two players in the XI and another in the 18, lead the way, with multiple teams fielding several representatives for the week.

Audi Player Index Spotlight

This week's spotlight player is LAFC forward Carlos Vela, who scored a goal and an assist in a 4-3 win over Atlanta United on Friday. Vela earned 1,035 points, best in the league for the week.

In addition to his contributions on the scoresheet, Vela won a penalty, drew eight fouls and won 57 percent of his take-ons in the game.
