Major League Soccer announced on Saturday that Real Salt Lake head coach Mike Petke has been suspended pending an investigation into his conduct directed at the match officials following Wednesday's Leagues Cup match against Tigres UANL. Petke will not be on the bench for RSL's match against FC Dallas on Saturday night.
MLS will not provide further comment until a review of the incident is complete.
Petke was seen having heated words for referee John Pitti following the match and was shown a red card. He explained his reasoning in his post-match press conference.
