Haiti rallied for a stunning, and thrilling, 2-1 win over Costa Rica Monday at Red Bull Arena to clinch the top spot in a group for the first time in their Gold Cup history. An own goal by Djimy Bend Alexis put the Ticos in front on 13 minutes, but Duckens Nazon leveled from the penalty spot before Alexis became the hero with the 81st-minute winner.

Needing to win that third match to finish atop Group B, Les Grenadiers finished with an unblemished 3-0-0 mark, joining the United States and Mexico as the only teams to secure all nine available points. Haiti have never advanced past the quarterfinals in three previous appearances.
