Tyler Boyd is the hot name on the lips of US men's national team fans this summer, and according to a new report could be bound for MLS in 2020.
Paul Tenorio of The Athletic reported on Wednesday that 2020 MLS expansion team Inter Miami are pursuing Boyd, and they hold his MLS discovery rights, fighting off several other teams in the league to get first attempt to sign the player.
Boyd, 24, is a newly-minted USMNT player this summer and has scored two goals at the 2019 Concacaf Gold Cup to date. The New Zealand-born forward, a dual citizen, most recently played for Ankaragucu in the Turkish Super Lig. He's previously played in Portugal for Vitoria de Guimaraes and Tondela, and in the A-League for Wellington Phoenix.
