After a brief Gold Cup break, the MLS regular season kicks back into gear Saturday night when FC Cincinnati host the LA Galaxy in the first meeting between the teams at Nippert Stadium.

FC Cincinnati (3-11-2) are coming off a 1-0 loss to Saint Louis FC of the USL Championship in the U.S. Open Cup Round of 16 Wednesday night. Sam Fink scored the lone goal in the third minute of second-half stoppage time, heading in a Lewis Hilton corner kick. The MLS expansion side resume league play on a four-match losing streak and have won just one of their last 12 regular season games.

The LA Galaxy (9-6-1) also suffered a Round of 16 USOC defeat, falling 4-0 at the Portland Timbers Wednesday night. Six minutes after a Perry Kitchen own goal, Brian Fernandez doubled the hosts' lead in the 34th minute. Sebastian Blanco made it 3-0 three minutes later and Jorge Moreira capped the scoring in the 82nd minute.
